I was thinking and thinking… how and if I should start a food blog. I am not a writer by any means… I don't even like to write, however I love to cook and take pictures. Combine cooking and photos,  a little push from my husband, " you can do it,” finally convince me to start.

Why wolf? I guess I am not the nicest person when I cook (some people say I am not nice in general, but I think I'm just determined). I am too focused on the process to have a conversation generally while I am chopping, stirring, preparing etc. I am also not so good with accepting help and directing people. Nobody can do it as good as I will...kind of attitude... So "lonely wolf in the kitchen " seamed appropriate, I added spoon to soften that look and make it a little bit more feminine and food friendly....and it was settled...Wolf plus spoon...

I am from Poland, but live and work in NYC.  Most every weekend.. I am lucky to always have 3 day weekends…  I escape the big apple to the ocean where I create all my dishes and take pictures. I never thought I will be able to take nice shots, which I was always admiring on many food blogs.  But as people say, only our brain sets our boundaries and there is nothing we can't do if we only want and try. I still have a long way to go, but thanks to my childhood friend Kinga from green morning blog, who was kind enough to share her wisdom I was able to learn the basics, the rest will come… or not...

Cooking is my way of connecting to my roots and the way I grew up in a small town in Poland where cooking was celebrated and gathering around the nicely setup table was the highlight of our day. I believe that eating together is more than just everyone sitting down at the table, it is also about sharing food, cooking together, laughing and telling stories. I want to bring back the memories of my childhood home and plant them with my new family.
